Who I Am

Hey! I’m Baylee, the face behind the Little Barn Quilter. Quilting has been my joy and passion since I was ten years old. I went to my grandmother’s house once a week for the day, and each week she taught me new things about quilting. I machine-quilted my first couple quilts because I was scared to hand-quilt them thinking it would take too long and would become boring fast. She convinced me to hand-quilt one of my quilts teaching me along the way. Now I don’t even know how to machine quilt and have no desire to learn.

Quilting is tradition. There is something so special about a quilt. Especially a really old or vintage quilt. You can feel the history in an old quilt. A group of women surrounding it to quilt it. A wedding gift to a young married couple. The same family huddled under it years later. Quilts bring joy and warmth and love. And that is why I am striving to keep this old tradition of Hand Quilting and Traditional quilting and patterns (Quilts that look like they were made years and years ago) and vintage fabrics alive!

About the Business:

The name The Little Barn Quilter came from my love of farming and animals. Originally the name was ‘The Little Barn Farm’ but I changed it to better suit my business. And I love it! We have a little barn on our property so thats what this is named after.

We offer classes, you tube video tutorials, Hand Quilting Services. Quilts for sale, and so much more!

Thank you for supporting my small business!
